Job Description

The Project Manager is responsible for developing, organizing, and facilitating cross-functional projects and pivotal initiatives to support the Medical Network’s value-based agreements and programs. The incumbent will independently plan and effectively lead all aspects of projects or sub-projects of the larger program, including but not limited to leading, project planning, tracking, reporting, financials and managing any needed vendor relationships as appropriate while maintaining program endeavors that support the strategic goals of the program and the broader organization. Will support the Manager in day-to-day program operations and administrative activities, while improving positive relationships with operations, physician leadership, technology and our reporting teams. Programs include CMMI’s new Primary Care First, MA Risk Adjustment, ACOs and Episodic Bundles in addition to any future evolving CMMI programs.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and manages the overall program portfolio. Develops approach, objectives, and key deliverables. Identifies and documents key measures of success. Develops comprehensive plan incorporating deliverables, resource needs, achievements, accountabilities, communication plan and timelines. Provides status updates to ensure deliverables are on track.
  • Contributes to the strategic planning, design, development and implementation of program objectives, procedures, processes, and standards.
  • Coordinates and manages program and support leadership in day-to-day program operations and administration. May manage staff.
  • Serves as primary resource for data reporting, data analysis, and data interpretation to key collaborators and senior leadership with summarized trends and progress to goals on standard cadence. Researches and analyzes data from internal and external sources.
  • Drives sophisticated project management through effective management of budget, schedule, scope, quality, issue and risk. Accountable for project communications, achievement tracking, resource planning, financials, risk assessment, contingency planning, customer concern and resolution of critical issues to project sponsor/owners.
  • Works effectively with business partners, vendors, and staff to develop the program and ensure agreement/adoption of program objectives/deliverables by affected constituencies through proactive communication and multifaceted partnerships. Works to identify cross-organizational interdependencies and ensure appropriate integration. Effectively manages expectations and resource requirements to ensure ownership and success.
  • Aligns and leads cross-organizational resources. Plans, develops, coordinates, and prioritizes resources to meet program objectives. May lead cross-functional teams in the administration, maintenance or expansion of the program.
  • Collaborate with other departments and leaders across the organization and other partners in the administration of the program. Identifies and defines any logistics, action items, or information needed to maintain operations.
  • Identifies growth opportunities and further efficiencies that impact the program and/or departments success and aids in development of strategic plans to achieve objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal/external collaborators to maintain and further develop program growth, community outreach activities, as well as relationship improvement and maintenance.
  • Prepares and manages program fiscal budgets and financials in conjunction with leadership.
  • Creates and fosters collaborative and positive relationships with internal and external collaborators, customers, agencies/organizations.
  • Develops and implements any applicable education, training, on-boarding and/or mentorship pertaining to the program.
  • Ensures compliance with local, state and federal laws, accreditation, professional and regulatory agency standards and licensure requirements. Maintains staff and program compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Leadership / Management, Business or related field required. Master's degree preferred.

License/Certification:

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desirable.

Experience:

Two (2) years of project/program management experience required. Three (3) years of health administration experience required. One (1) year of Value-Based Care contracts or ACO-related work (i.e.: Quality Improvement) highly preferred.
