Cedars-Sinai Medical Network is a network of over 750 primary care and specialty physicians committed to providing excellent care to Cedars-Sinai patients from the San Fernando Valley down to the South Bay Los Angeles area. The Cedars-Sinai Medical Network includes an expansive drug therapy management program through which clinical pharmacists, in collaboration with network providers, manage patients with chronic disease states such as diabetes mellitus, hypertension, anticoagulation management, pain management, and neurologic disorders

The PGY2 Pharmacist Neurology Residency in Los Angeles, Ca is designed to prepare the resident for a career as a neurology ambulatory care pharmacist. The resident will be immersed in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network Neurology programs and collaborate with neurologists and other providers on the management of patients with various neurologic disorders including, but not limited to, migraine, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, restless leg syndrome, Parkinson's Disease, and neuropathy. The resident, working under Collaborative Practice Agreement (CPA), will be responsible for developing treatment plans, initiating/adjusting/discontinuing medications per protocol and standard of care, and precepting pharmacy students and PGY1 residents. In addition, the resident will have the opportunity to participate in transitions of care activities and to learn about population health management and managed care.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

  • Doctor of pharmacy degree from an accredited school of pharmacy

Licenses/Certifications:

  • California Pharmacist license

Experience:

  • Completion of a PGY-1 pharmacy residency program OR 3 years experience in amcare setting
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • Letter of intent
