Workforce Insights Analyst

Summary of Essential Job Duties:


Provides broad analytics, metrics, analysis, support and coordination to HR Data Management (HRIS) and its client base.  Position is also responsible for providing day-to-day analytics/metrics support to end-users, including data systems integrity, troubleshooting, and analyzing errors in reports/data.  Works with EIS (Information Technology) in implementing/delivering new analytics tools, such as Oracle's OBIEE Analytics packages.   


This position is responsible for data analysis (may include advanced Statistical Analysis), and producing a wide variety of reports to support department and management decisions.  Assists in the evaluation and development of department systems.  Produces data/reports annually/semi-annually for various surveys such as HASC, AHA, Magnet, benchmarking, etc.  This position is also extremely instrumental in supporting the Employee Engagement Survey reporting and graphical representation of the results.


Candidate must have experience with analytical tools, such as Tableau, Business Objects, Lawson and/or Peoplesoft, Oracle Cloud HCM table structures, Crystal report writing tool, and have worked in the Healthcare arena.  Must also have experience with HR Analytics and be able to provide graphical representation of the data and show trends, in addition to translation of the meaning of the charts (tell the story).  Data Auditing is also required of this position.  Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced enviroment with changing priorities. 

Educational Requirements:

             Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline (such as statistical analysis); with some course work in data management. 

             Strongly prefer Master’s degree in business, human resources, communication or other relevant discipline preferred.

                      At least four (4) years of related experience



License/Certification/Registration Requirements:




             Experience in designing and producing both simple and complex business analytics for use by management in decision support.

             Experience in designing, creating, and publishing Human Resources-related dashboards.

             Subject matter expertise and experience in both statistical analysis and trend analysis summarizing the data and the trends.

             Ability to identify issues, and trends, synthesize information, propose methodical solutions and highlight implications of findings.

             Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative and qualitative analysis.

             Experience in Workforce Administration, Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, Payroll or other Human Capital Management discipline preferred.

             Experience in multiple report writing platforms, such as Crystal.

             Experience in analytical presentation tools, such as Tableau.

             Experience with OBIEE (Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition) preferred.

             Expert knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio and Projects required. Proficiency will be tested.

             Expert knowledge of HR Information Systems, preferably PeopleSoft, Taleo, Lawson and/or Oracle Cloud.

             Experience with hospital-based administrative database applications and data warehousing technology highly desired.

             Project Management experience is desireable.

             Experience with SQL and relational databases and of query/report writing
