Cedars-Sinai Medical Center has an opening for a Telecomm Operator in Operator Services.
The Telecomm Operator processes incoming and outgoing calls, monitors alarms and responds to emergency notifications in a time manner and
direct calls to appropriate departments, medical staff inside / outside the medical center and handle patient location calls.
Note: All External Hires must successfully pass a background check, a prohibited substance screening, and a pre-employment physical.
Must have Microsoft Office/ computer skills preferred. Six (6) months previous call center/doctor's office/answering service experience required. Excellent verbal communication skills required for answering calls and taking messages.
Pleasant and clear speaking voice required and the ability to speak for long periods of time. Able to type 35-45 WPM, preferred.
High school diploma or comparable level of education and experience.
License/Certification/Registration Requirements: N/A
Ability to type for the entire working shift. Ability to talk for the entire working shift. Ability to sit for the entire working shift. Rapid movement to handle emergency codes.
