Staff Physician I sought by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA.

Duties: Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients with abdominal illness/diseases. Order diagnostic tests interpret the results and order appropriate interventions, therapies, medications, and other treatment modalities. Collect, record, and maintain details of the patients' history, physical examination, diagnostic test results, assessment, management plans, and treatment outcomes. Provide clinical expertise in abdominal illness intensive surgical care in support of Cedar's Department of Surgery, General Surgery Division, including pre- and post- management and pre- and post-operative care of abdominal patients. Design and implement education protocols and quality improvement programs for abdominal surgery intensive care. Perform clinical research and develop novel insights into abdominal diseases, treatment, and technological advances. Teach the principles and practice of general surgery and critical care to medical students, residents, and fellows. Participate in medical education activities of the Department of Surgery, General Surgery Division. Conduct research and publish research findings in peer reviewed medical journals.

Requirements: M.D. or equivalent; completion of graduate medical training in General Surgery; completion of graduate medical training in Surgical Critical Care; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Surgery and Surgical Critical Care; license to practice medicine or eligibility for licensure in the State of California.
