Right now, our Talent Management & Organizational Development (TM&OD) team is looking for a full time Sr. Organizational Development Consultant (Sr. OD Consultant) to join their department.


The Senior Organizational Development Consultant (Sr. OD Consultant) is an internal consulting position that provides value-added services and project management expertise to achieve overall organizational goals. The typical customers for this OD work include business, operational, and clinical leaders, as well as Talent Management & Organizational Development (TM&OD) leadership. The Sr. OD Consultant often works with HR partners to customize solutions. In addition, the Sr. OD Consultant manages internal resources and external vendors to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of complex projects and programs.


What will I be doing in this role?

  • Partners with executives to lead and manage implementation of major organizational change projects. Also leads and manages implementation of related components such as planning, communications, change management, and enabling technologies. 

  • Contracts, assesses, designs, and delivers OD consulting services and manages projects that link to strategic business objectives, and add value to the larger healthcare organization. 

  • Leads and manages OD projects and programs from initial contracting through post-intervention evaluation. 

  • Organizes and leads project teams.

  • Collaborates with HR partners to customize services and enhance the customer’s business performance.

  • Works with leadership teams and work groups at all levels to improve their overall effectiveness. 

  • Designs and manages leadership development programs and customized interventions for a broad range of clients. This area of work includes 360 feedback and planning, learning technologies, and the achievement of desired outcomes. 

  • Supports talent management initiatives and projects. This portfolio of work includes but is not limited to succession management practices. 

  • Supports enhancements and development of the executive coaching program. 

  • Quickly establishes credibility with business leaders and manages client relationships 

  • Manages vendor relationships. 

  • Participates in vendor selection and contracting decisions. 

  • Assists TM&OD leadership with the development of key metrics, scorecards, and reporting. 

  • Ability to manage program and project budgets. 

  • Management and administrative oversight of (TM&OD) programs and initiatives.

Requirements:


  • Education: Bachelors required. An advanced degree (eg, MBA, Masters, PhD) is preferred. Ideal candidates possess a specialization in Organizational Development, Business/MBA, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, or a related area.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years OD-related experience is required. Ideal candidates possess 5-12+ years of OD-related experience working in large, complex organizations. 

What else are we looking for?

  • Demonstrated experience leading and managing implementation of major organizational change initiatives. 

  • Progressively responsible experience in OD and project management with large-scale initiatives and programs. 

  • Must be able to execute plans and achieve timelines and budgets.

  • Significant experience working in or consulting to large, complex organizations.

  • Strong business acumen and mature professional judgment.

  • Demonstrated experience working successfully with executives and the ability to manage challenging projects and processes.

  • Proven expertise and in-depth knowledge of OD methods and practices.

  • Demonstrated ability to measure business outcomes and improvements as a result of OD interventions.

  • Strong analytical skills and experience designing and producing materials for use by senior leadership. 

  • Demonstrated skills in quantitative data collection and processing, measurement and evaluation, and business analytics. 

  • Ability to partner successfully with business leadership, Human Resources, and other stakeholders in a collaborative work environment. 

  • Ability to work on multiple projects and with minimal supervision. 

  • Executive presence and outstanding communication skills. 

Skills and other experience preferred:

  • Expert skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

  • Certification and experience applying lean methods.

  • Certification and experience using assessments and 360 instruments.

  • Healthcare experience a plus!
