Responsibilities

Under direct supervision nurse manager and research manager, as a Research Nurse I, you will provide hands-on treatment, monitoring and follow-up clinical analysis of patients participating in clinical trials within the department of psychiatry and behavioral neurosciences under the direction of Dr. Waguih IsHak, Vice Chairman for Education and Research and Consultant Psychiatrist.  As the incumbents in this role, you will adhere to federal and regulatory requirements in providing direct patient nursing care within the context of supporting clinical trial study implementation.

Our Research Nurse I will work collaboratively with the Principal Investigator, physicians and other research staff in participating in screening, consenting, and randomization of study participants; conducting study required virtual visits with research patients; administering research related questionnaires; educating research patients on study related procedures; and using study equipment (smart phone/tablets/ipad/webex). This position may also assist with coordinating aspects of research, including interactions with research staff and study participants, data compilation, IRB prep and submission, grant proposals, and patient recruitment/logistics.
Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing required

License/Certification Requirements:

  • Valid California RN license and current American Heart Association BLS
