Summary Of Essential Job Duties:
Cedars-Sinai Physical Therapy neurological residency is a unique program that combines Acute Care and Outpatient Rehab. Resident has the opportunity to work and receive mentoring in both settings (6 month rotations).
The residency in Physical Therapy is designed to provide the resident with one year of post-graduate advanced hospital practice as well as provide opportunity for project. The program will provide training in patient clinical practice, primary care, and in addition, may include research, operational/administrative duties or program development. The resident will coordinate with his/her supervisor to finalize clinical hours and research hours based upon the setting’s needs and the requirements of their program. The resident will have an identified clinical and research mentor. The clinical resident evaluates and treats patients in accordance with the prescription of the physician. The resident provides patient care consistent with Scope of Practice Standards and Code of Ethics; the Plan for the Provision of Care to patients, the Plan for Corporate Compliance, the Performance Improvement Plan and Patient Education Plan. Competency skills include the ability to provide care maintaining safety of the environment, utilizing appropriate communication with sensitivity and attention to special populations, including patients with diverse cultural backgrounds, age, development issues and physical disabilities.
- Graduate from an accredited PT School- Bachelors degree required, Doctorate-Preferred.
