Cedars Sinai Medical Center (CSMC) is a world-renowned medical center and American College of Surgeons Verified Level I Trauma Hospital. We are recruiting for an orthopaedic surgery faculty Chief ofSports Medicine. An ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in resident education and/or research.

We are seeking candidates at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level to join our busy faculty team in the Department of Orthopaedics. CSMC is a 958-bed academic center with state-of-the-art surgical facilities and an accredited orthopaedic residency program.

The position will include clinical, teaching and research opportunities. The strength of the program arises from a multi-disciplinary team of experts that includes more than 80 orthopaedic surgeons on the voluntary and full-time faculty many of whom hold national positions of leadership. We provide the full spectrum of care with specialized expertise in joint replacement, oncology, osteoporosis, pediatric, scoliosis, adult spine and trauma reconstruction programs. The orthopaedic and spine programs are nationally recognized for their contribution to minimally invasive surgical techniques.

Our compensation philosophy

We offer competitive total compensation that includes pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees.  The total pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors.  This total pay range includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. We also offer a comprehensive faculty benefits package.

Pay Range: $371,385 - $1,018,342 total cash compensation


Qualifications

  • MD or MD/PhD
  • Completion of residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery with an additional fellowship in orthopaedic Sports Medicine
  • Eligibility for Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Medical Staff Membership
  • Eligibility for an unrestricted California Medical License
  • Eligibility for appointment to the appropriate academic rank in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Professorial Series
  • Eligibility and/or Certification by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery or its equivalent
