Manager, Facilities
Requisition # M12051 Apply NowESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONIBILTIES:
1. Construction Management
A. Develops project estimates and timelines
B. Tracks project budgets
C. Directs and manages outsourced contractors, architects, designers, movers, etc.
D. Assists Purchasing department with the selection of furniture, equipment, material and supplies needed to complete build-out and remodel projects
2. Facility Maintenance
A. Maintains Facility Work Order Database to ensure that service requests are completed in a timely manner.
B. Inspects completed projects to insure quality of work performed.
C. Develops and maintains physical plant inventory at all CSMCF facilities implementing regular preventative maintenance and/or replacement programs.
D. Assesses the facility needs and condition of existing office space for newly acquired Physician practices
E. Coordinates and prioritizes efforts of the facility engineering team.
F. Negotiates contracts for Janitorial services, Security services, etc., and oversees the performance of these contracted providers
3. General Supervision
A. Assists in the development, review and revision of standard operating policies and procedures in collaboration with senior management.
B. Directly supervises Facility Coordinators, and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include:
i. Interviewing, hiring, training new employees.
ii. Planning, assigning directing work and determining work hours.
iii. Appraising staff and assist in staff development.
4. Assumes additional responsibilities and duties as determined by the Director.
Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management preferred; or equivalent skills and experience required.
• Proven ability to lead and manage people including selecting, developing, motivating and retaining quality people to meet the department objectives
• Fiscal management skills to prepare, monitor and control budgets and reduce expenses
• Ability to promote effective collaboration and teamwork among individuals of multiple disciplines
• Demonstrate professionalism and follow-up skills to ensure the highest level of customer confidence and satisfaction
• Command of computer programs including but not limited to the Microsoft Office family of products
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Excellent verbal communication skills to include effective telephone dialogue skills. Ability to read and interpret documents, routine reports and correspondence, procedure manuals, construction drawings or blueprints. Ability to speak effectively.
MATHMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENCES, REGISTRATIONS:
Valid California driver’s license; proof of automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
