The Investment Analyst supports the Investment Office through a wide variety of functions including research, quantitative analysis, due diligence, preparation of presentation materials, and management of key systems and databases. The Investment Office spends considerable time identifying and cultivating relationships with firms and managers that can add value to Cedars-Sinai's portfolio and help achieve targeted return objectives. The office's due diligence efforts focus on qualitative and quantitative research at both the asset class level and the individual firm/manager level. Your primary duties include:

  • Working on all aspects of portfolio management, including sourcing, selecting and monitoring investment managers, performing investment research, and conducting portfolio and performance analysis.
  • Preparing investment memos and other materials based on your involvement in all aspects of the diligence process.
  • Building and maintaining a research database of prospective investment manager relationships, including an active investment pipeline of actionable opportunities.
  • Leading data analytics efforts and related software partnerships, ensuring data integrity and reconciling discrepancies. Maintaining frequent contact with service providers and troubleshooting any issues as they arise.
  • Designing and implementing technology solutions to support the office’s communication, organizational, and research management efforts.
  • Monitoring and reporting on performance and exposures of investment managers.
  • Performing research on various investment themes; crafting whitepapers summarizing findings and recommendations.
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of investment policies, procedures, and initiatives.
  • Working collaboratively with all members of the Investment team to provide independent, rigorous insights on potential decisions across the portfolio.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Finance, Economics or a related major required
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as an Investment Analyst at an investment firm or investment bank required
  • CFA (Charted Financial Analyst) preferred
