Job Summary: Reporting to the Director of the Center for Healthcare Ethics, the incumbent provides assistance to the Director in organizing and implementing Center programming and actively participates in a range of service, educational, and scholarly activities. Chief among these is the Clinical Ethics Consultation Service, both at CSMC and at MDRH. In addition, the Faculty member will help run the GVP3 educational program offered by the Center for CSMC physicians as well as serve as an ambassador for the Center within the Medical Center, the Health System, and the broader community.
Educational Requirements: Ph.D. with specific focus on, and expertise and training in, healthcare ethics.
Demonstrated ability to act as a role model, setting the tone and enthusiasm for healthcare ethics as a critical discipline within the Cedars-Sinai Health System.
Demonstrated ability to teach topics pertaining to healthcare ethics to both clinical and research healthcare personnel.
Demonstrated ability to work closely with patients, families, medical staff, nursing staff, social services staff, and all others involved in the clinical delivery of healthcare.
Demonstrated ability to work with institutional administrative staff and leadership.
Established track record of professional scholarship in healthcare ethics as demonstrated by publication and professional presentations.
Experience in creating and implementing educational sessions for healthcare professionals, students, and trainees.

The base pay range shown above takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including knowledge/skills; relevant experience and training; education/certifications/licensure; and other business and organizational factors. This base pay range does not include our comprehensive benefits package and any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role
