Make a difference in Imaging
As a per diem Department Assistant in our Imaging Outpatient Center, you will assist for coverage on Saturdays and Sundays. In this role, you will answer phones and coordinate patient flow. Will keep patient tracking board updated. You will prepare rooms and patients for exams. Will help position patients on scanners. Will float between CT/MR. May be called upon to transport occasionally to and from the hospital or ED. Will maintain dept cleanliness and inventory.
Must be great communicator and have high level customer service skills. Applicant must be well organized with superior attention to detail and have good critical thinking skills, Has prior history of demonstrating aptitude to learn new processes and learn specialized equipment. Must work well in a busy team environment and be very good at multi-tasking.
May be asked to fill in during the week as needed.
High School some college preferred
Hospital or medical clinic experience preferred. Computer experience needed.
Physical ability to lift 50lbs., pushing wheel gear, assist patients from gurney to table, and satisfactorily perform all direct and indirect patient care functions.
