Summary of Essential Job Duties:
Work with stakeholders throughout the organization including Doctors, Nurses and Administrators to solve clinical and operational challenges in the healthcare space
Query databases and analyze electronic medical record data to drive optimization and improvement of clinical decision making and operational improvement.
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
Visualize analysis for stakeholders using industry standard dashboarding tools like Tableau
Present analysis and findings to audiences of all levels and sizes
Use predictive modeling to forecast operational and clinical outcomes and prescribe courses of action.
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and model accuracy.
Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
Coursework in computer science, machine learning, applied mathematics, econometrics, statistics, engineering, physics, or related discipline preferred.
Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on implementing model output in clinical setting.
Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
Experience using AWS tools such as S3, Redshift, Kinesis, Lambda Functions.
Experience with Oracle and MSSQL relational and dimensional databases (RedShift, HANA a plus)
Experience with IDE’s such as JupyterHub, RStudio
Experience with Git code repositories
Experience with Data Robot a plus
Experience working with and creating analytics ready data architectures.
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
Excellent presentation skills including presenting complex analysis to all levels of audience.
A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
We’re looking for someone with 3+ years of experience manipulating data sets and building statistical models, has a Master’s or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field
Coding knowledge with RStudio, Python
Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, etc.
Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages: R, Python, SLQ, etc.
Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using: Tableau , D3, ggplot, etc.
