Data Control Coordinator

What will you be doing in this role?

This role is responsible for the design and maintenance of database structure to store, manage and process information and data for the assigned department and projects. Develops tools for data mining and analysis. Writes database applications. Generates reports using standard statistical analysis software. Performs data collection and data maintenance for both internal and external users. Develops and maintains quality control systems required to ensure data quality, reliability and integrity. Responsible for the general oversight of the department computer systems, servers, local access networks, and/or website. Serves as a resource for training and assessment of computer/program needs.

Skills/experience we're seeking:

Bachelors degree in computer science or related field highly preferred.

At least two years of relevant work experience, prior functional work experience is helpful.

Progressive database development experience required.

Extensive knowledge of PC applications, particularly relational databases and spreadsheets, required.

Knowledge of application programs used in the department (SAS, SPSS, MS Access, etc.)

Must understand relationship (and sometimes object-oriented) technologies for database design.

Proven ability to abstract data from database software into reports and spreadsheet formats.

Good understanding of data flow, structure, and relationships of various pieces of data.
