Craft Specialist, HVAC - Plant Operations - Full Time

Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor and/or the Lead Craft Specialist, the Craft Specialist installs, inspects, operates and repairs major heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment.  Sets priorities and handles multiple projects or assignments and meets completion schedules within established objectives.  Performs preventive maintenance. Uses various hand tools and testing instruments to accomplish assigned tasks.  Reports appropriate corrections/repairs and makes referrals to the appropriate Operations Supervisor, Lead Craft Specialist, Hospitality Center or specialty shops.  Performs other related duties as required.

Educational requirements:

High School Diploma/Trade School/GED required.


License:
EPA Universal License.

Experience:
One (1) year of experience working with HVAC Systems (Hospital experience preferred).
A minimum of 2 years at an apprentice level of the craft or trade is preferred.  Able to read blueprints and schematics. 
Electrical and mechanical background is required. 
Progressively responsible experience demonstrating ability to set priorities and handle multiple projects or assignments and meet completion schedules within established time frames.
Must read, write, speak English and be able to read training documents. 
Thorough knowledge and experience on drawing schematics, laying out work, trouble shooting of equipment and machinery is required.
