Summary of Essential Duties:
Manage patient flow.
Maintain waiting rooms.
Schedule first available appointments.
Take voice mail messages off phones and direct appropriately.
Answer and triage calls, directing to appropriate individuals or departments.
Handle all telephone interactions.
Perform check-in and check-out functions.
Process and track referrals.
Handle patient/MD correspondence.
Manage all MD requests.
Schedule patients with ancillary and specialty providers.
Train all PSR-I and PSR-II.
Respond to patient questions and complaints.
Monitor work flow/review morning and afternoon tasks.
Assist in work assignments.
Report performance issues to supervisors.
Recommend areas for improvement.
Interface/liaison with other departments.
Assist in meeting/auditing.
High school diploma or GED.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in an outpatient medical practice preferred.
Proven track record with customer service and practice operations.
Ability to teach others about medical terminology and insurance concepts.
Working knowledge of master schedules and templates.
Intermediate computer experience.
Experience with heavy phone volume.
Ability to problem solve/prioritize.
Advanced knowledge of medical terminology and insurance concepts (ability to problem solve and assist patients).
Able to lift < or = 10lbs
