Summary of Essential Job Duties:

The Infection Prevention/Control Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining a system for prevention, surveillance, investigation and control of infections within the CSMCF physician’s offices.


 

Educational Requirements:
 Bachelors Degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Epidemiology, Bacteriology Required
Masters Degree Nursing or Other Related Field Preferred

License/Certification Requirements:

California Registered Nurse license
Certification in Infection Prevention and Control Preferred
 
Experience:
  • A minimum of two years experience in an ambulatory/out patient setting.  Hospital experience will be considered.
  • Prefers Infection Prevention and/or Epidemiology experience
